Lisa Christoffersen

Lisa was born and raised on West Kilimanjaro, on the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. At the age of 10, Lisa moved to Denmark where she completed her Danish education. Following that, she went to Switzerland for a year to learn German, then moved back to Denmark where she worked for SAS Airlines for four years. Lisa longed for Africa, packed her life into 22 suitcases and moved back to Africa at the age of 22. She has since lived in Kenya & Tanzania.

Lisa has specialised in African Tribal Arts for the past 12 years and is the proud owner of the Home Gallery in Nairobi. The Home Gallery is a treasure trove full of unusual arts and craft from all over the African continent, including antiques, furniture, paintings and Lisa´s unique range of hand painted Pashmina shawls with designs inspired by Africa. She also advises on interior design.

The Home Gallery is Lisa's own home which she shares with her two children, Savanna & Zak and husband Grant.

Suzie Sardelli

Suzie was born in Nyeri and brought up on a farm near Naro Moru in the Laikipia area. At the age of 11, she moved, together with her two sisters and parents, to Australia, where they lived for a couple of years. From there, Suzie returned with her family to Africa, this time, to South Africa, where after three years they returned to her beloved Kenya.

Suzie’s love and knowledge of Kenya came about when she worked for the world famous Safari Rally in the early 1980’s. Part of this work included writing route notes during the reconnaissance around the country for the rally. In recent years, Suzie worked for a well-known travel agent preparing newsletters and travel updates, then with a company supplying hotel and lodge shops with selected merchandise. During this time she managed to squeeze in a number of updates for Insight Guides Kenya, including their pocket guide. The most recent update was for the Berlitz Pocket Guide Kenya.

Suzie lives in Nairobi with her husband, Marco and son, Daniele.
